Ingredients for the Apple Filling:
5-6 Medium-Sized Apples Peeled, Cored, and Sliced | |
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar | |
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar | |
1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon | |
1/4 Tsp Ground Nutmeg | |
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter |

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.

Add the cold, cubed butter to the bowl and cut it into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter, two knives, or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the ice water and mix until the dough comes together into a ball. If the dough is too dry, add more ice water, one tablespoon at a time.

Flatten the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
